The ability to manage your mobile on the go is great, but using a traditional deskphone is useful when you need to take a lot of calls in the office. The SwitchSmith app allows you to switch between mobile and deskphone, so that you can use your deskphone in the office and then switch to mobile when you go out. Deskphone regsitration uses industry standard SIP, so you can use any SIP enabled deskphone or softphone.

How To Use It

• In the app, go to Tools / Desk Phones
• Add a new desk phone
• Choose a memorable name for the phone (this is useful if you use multiple desk phones)
• SwitchSmith auto-generates SIP registration details for your phone
• Enter these details into your desk phone or soft phone
• SwitchSmith does not store the password, so make note of this if you need to retrieve it later
• In the app, press Refresh Status
• If the registration was successful, the status indicator will turn green
• Press Done
• Assign the phone to a team member from the detail screen by choosing somebody from the list
• Go to the Status screen
• Press the alert icon from any of your groups
• Choose Desk Phone from the New Calls Alert menu
• Calls to you will now route to the desk phone
