Push Notifications For Deskphone Calls

User feedback showed us that it is possible to miss calls when you choose to use a deskphone but are temporarily away from it.

In those cases, the deskphone will ring, but you won't notice that because you're not there to hear or see it. If you are the only currently active user in a ring group, your business will miss this call.

To fix this, SwitchSmith will now send out a push notification as well as ringing the deskphone. This means you will see and hear the queued customer call both in the app and on your desk phone:

• If you are near your deskphone, you can just pick this up as normal and the app will detect this
• If you are away from your deskphone, you can take the call on your mobile using the live switch screen

This ensures you won't miss any calls.

Right now the push notification for deskphone calls looks like any other SwitchSmith push notification - a future version of SwitchSmith might evolve the live switch screen to indicate calls configured to ring your deskphone.
